The skies over the Baie de Somme are marked by the work of two illustrious figures, Gaston and René Caudron. These Two men are at the origin of civil and military aviation. Born in Favières, they undertook at the end of the 19th century their first flight between Ponthoile and Forest-Montiers in 1909. In 1910, they set up their workshops in Rue, followed by the first civil aviation school in Le Crotoy.
